A VR artwork by Berlin-based visual artist and volumetric filmmaker Vladimir Storm, exploring political mythology through immersive digital sculpture and spatial storytelling.
The piece represents six main archetypes of the political internet and contemporary developed societies. These archangels embody nature, social equality, pleasure, wealth, amusement, and primal strength—the main identities people take and worship. The Statue of Liberty above them holds a cross and wifi symbol, spreading words through modern social networks while still following ancient rules.
The exhibition was the second in ELLEPHANT’s monthly VR program, a series co-curated by Samuel Arsenault-Brassard and Christine Redfern that brought international VR artists to a Montreal gallery context. The show opened just weeks before COVID-19 shutdowns, making it the final in-person exhibition of that season.
