Stop Pretending

AR fashion Show

April 2018, LiL Pocket Gallery, Montreal

Collaboration with the incredible Rosalie Lemay from Pretend Play and Sebastian Miller aka Cryote.

Pretend Play created a line of unique clothes over many month. We scanned human models using both a Kinect 2 3D camera and a very high end photogramettry rig by Eric Paré.

Visions of the future

The world of Augmented Reality allows us to experience fashion shows in a different way. The limitations of rooms and humans can be transcended, models appearing out of thin air, walking on walls, shifting scale, superimposed. The runway is no longer static, a series of paths superimposed. The entities come in and out from the walls. Humans, bodies become architecture.

We had the pleasure of working with Éric Paré and his wonderful staff at the Montreal Studio.

The studio sponsored our project by letting us use their equipment for extremely high quality 3D scans of the models.

We are extremely grateful to have worked with them on this project. The experience was wonderful and surreal.

Working with Roza and Sebastian is always such a pleasure, their creative energy invigorates everything around them and they put their souls into their creations.
